The injuries continue for the Kent State men's basketball team. Chris Singletary re-injured his ankle during a scrimmage on Sunday and will be out about 2 to 4 weeks.
Now Rod Sherman has dislocated his left elbow at the beginning of practice on Tuesday afternoon. Sherman's timetable is uncertain at this time, pending an X-ray on the elbow. Both players are in doubt to start the season on November 13 against Samford as part of the Hispanic College Fund Classic hosted by Kent State.
The team will play an exhibition game on Monday against Ohio Northern and Singletary will definitely not participate in that game.
The injury to Sherman leaves freshman Randal Holt from Cleveland Glenville as the only scholarship point guard on the roster. Redshirt freshman Cam Joyce (SVSM) is also on the team as a walk-on.
