Sick, injured Flashes face tough game
The banged up Golden Flashes start 'Reunion Week' for head coach Geno Ford. Kent State, with four of their top six players nursing bumps and bruises, will look to stay atop the MAC standings when they host the Ohio Bobcats on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. Kent State defeated Ohio 62-60 in the MAC opener on January 8 in a game where Chris Singletary took over down the stretch.
Ford faces his former college team, where he also was an assistant coach at under Larry Hunter. Ford will face Hunter's current team, the Western Carolina Catamounts on Saturday night in the BracketBuster game at 8:00 p.m. on ESPNU.
Wednesday night's game will be recognized as Laing Kennedy night, a tribute to the university's 16-year athletic director who will retire this summer.
Kent State beat writer Stephanie Storm from the ABJ previews the game here.
