Singletary aggravates ankle - Scrimmage notes
Elton Alexander from The Plain Dealer was on hand at a spirited Kent State basketball scrimmage last night and provides some notes on it. Senior Chris Singletary re-injured an ankle that he had hurt earlier in the individual sessions.
FOOTBALL
Senior Kevin Hogan has been named the MAC East Defensive Player of the Week for his play against the Ohio Bobcats. Hogan had 2.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss as the Golden Flashes beat Ohio 20-11. Hogan was also named the Kent State Athlete of the Week for his efforts.
WOMEN'S SOCCER
Kent State's Senior Day was spoiled by the Akron Zips who picked up a 1-0 victory yesterday in Kent. Michael Beaven from the ABJ was on hand to cover it. KSU will conclude the regular season on Thursday at Buffalo then will participate in the MAC Tournament that starts on Sunday. KSU is battling for the 7th seed in the tournament.
