Singletary to miss 2-6 weeks

By admin Published: November 18, 2009

KENT, Ohio – Kent State senior guard Chris Singletary (Chicago, Ill. / Florida Prep) will miss the next few games for the Golden Flashes after suffering an injury to his meniscus.  Singletary is scheduled for surgery on Friday and is expected to miss between two and six weeks, and possibly longer.

Named to the preseason All-MAC team, Singletary led Kent State (2-1) with 19 points and seven rebounds in the season opening 69-66 win over Samford last Friday.  He is averaging 11.0 points and 4.7 rebounds through three games this season for the Golden Flashes.

Apparently, the injury occured on the game tying basket in regulation that Singletary put in during Sunday's game vs. Green Bay.
