Former royal chef chats about royal baby
Chef Darren McGrady, who had served as a chef at Buckingham Palace and later as the personal chef for Princess Diana, before moving to the U.S. sent this email yesterday responding to the news that Prince William and Catherine were expecting a baby:
"I was thrilled when I heard the news that the little boy that I pureed food for ....and held as a tiny baby while his mother Princess Diana ate cereals in the kitchen was, along with his wife Kate, now having a baby of his own.
McGrady said he is hoping the baby arrives on July 1, Princess Diana's birthday.
"My job in the royal kitchens was to puree first the fruit (apples, pears, bananas) and then vegetables (carrots, peas, brocoli) for the royal baby (William) for his own footman to deliver to nanny in the nursery," McGrady said.
