Ohio ranks No. 7 in U.S. for number of farmers markets
New statistics released today by the U.S. Department of Agriculture give us all something to cheer about.
Ohio ranks 7th in the nation for number of farmers markets -- 264.
And, the number of farmers markets in the U.S. has increased 9.6 percent over last year.
The USDA released its annual Farmers Market Directory, which this year includes more 7,864 listings, up from just over 7,100 last year.
