Browns cornerstones?
Wondering who the Browns consider their cornerstones of the future as they embark on the Pat Shurmur era? The team's season ticket brochure, which arrived in the mail Thursday, gives some indication.
Quarterback Colt McCoy, cornerback Joe Haden and left tackle Joe Thomas are on the folder's cover. Inside tight end Ben Watson, safety T.J. Ward, running back Peyton Hillis and receiver/returner Joshua Cribbs are featured. There's also an action shot of players running out of the tunnel, with Thomas and center Alex Mack leading the way.
While the brochure doesn't bode well for the state of the defense, with only two second-year players included, it does give the impression that the Browns have more building blocks than some might think.
Following the model of other pro teams in Cleveland, the Browns have assigned a guest relations representative to each season ticket account. They are also offering a six-month payment option to those to commit to the plan by March 1.
New for season ticket holders in 2011 is the opportunity to purchase tickets to away games (based on availability) and the chance to place a personal message on the stadium's video screens with a donation to the Cleveland Browns Foundation.
