Cribbs returns in limited role
After missing practice all week with four dislocated toes and a foot injury, Browns' Pro Bowler Joshua Cribbs played, but only returned kicks. Originally hurt against the Jets Nov. 14, Cribbs averaged 22.3 yards on four kickoff returns and 8.3 yards on three punts.
"He was pretty limited,'' Mangini said. "I give Josh a lot of credit for working all week to get to the game.''
Cribbs hopes to do more next Sunday at Miami.
''That's the plan,'' he said. "I was able to get out there today and do what I could for my team. If I felt I was going to hinder my team in any way, I had to take myself off.''
He said playing will not aggravate the problem.
"It's just pain right now. I've got to push through that,'' he said.
