Finley unseated at CrossFit Games
Richfield's Betsy Finley failed to defend her national title at the Reebok CrossFit Games Sunday at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
With a three-day total of 559 points, Finley, 62, finished second in the women's masters division for ages 60 and over. The winner was Mary Schwing, 60, of Hawaii, with 563 points.
Schwing finished seventh in Sunday's first event, the muscle up, but won the final event, which consisted of three rounds of 20 wall-ball shots and a 40-foot dogsled push. Finley took third in the muscle-up and third in the final.
“It's a different game this year,” Finley said in an article on CrossFit.com. “There are more things we have to prove ourselves on.”
