Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish wrote in his combine diary for the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel that he met with the Browns Wednesday night during the NFL Combine.
When he arrived at the interview room Thursday, Harnish called the session “very informal.”
“It was more the offensive linemen and tight ends and I was kind of in there," Harnish said. "I had a very nice conversation with one of the coaches.”
Harnish said the formal meetings for quarterbacks are Thursday night. Asked if the Browns were on his list, Harnish said, “I’m not sure, but I hope so.”
Harnish, 6-foot-2 and 219 pounds, is projected as a sixth-round pick by NFLDraftScout.com.
To no one's surprise, the final-round pairing of Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods Sunday in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am drew its highest viewer average in 23 years, according to a press release from CBS.
The broadcast drew 7.4 million viewers, the highest final round in the event since 1989, when Mark O'Meara won. Mickelson shot a 64 to beat Charlie Wi by two strokes. It was Mickelson's 40th professional victory and his fourth in this tournament. To read more or comment...
