Smithville woman in running for home makeover
You can help Smithville resident Erin King win $10,000 toward a home-makeover project in Waverly Home’s Paint for a Purpose contest.
King is one of five finalists in the contest, which will be decided by votes on its Facebook page.

Historical house up for auction
Old-house fans, take note: A 200-year-old home in Tallmadge goes on the auction block this weekend.
The house, once known as the Beach House, was built in 1808 and expanded in 1850. It has its original black walnut and oak floors and some original windows, as well as a post and beam barn on the property.

Hudson interior designer to appear on MSNBC
Hudson interior designer Pamela Bayer will appear this Sunday on the MSNBC program Your Business.
The weekly show focuses on small-business entrepreneurs. According to the show's website, Bayer will talk about her mistake of turning down smaller clients to focus on big projects, only to have those larger jobs cut.
