Here’s another twist on garden art made from repurposed kitchen stuff.
After seeing my story on bottle trees, Lynne Knight of Granger Township called to tell me about the garden ornaments she makes from colorful dishes. Knight glues together layers of plates and sometimes small bowls or whimsical accents to create flower-like sculptures. The flowers are attached to stakes for display among the posies.
She once created a custom-made sculpture from a plate a customer’s grandfather had given her. “She actually cried,” Knight said.
Knight will be selling her creations at the Bath Church Country Fair, which this year is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 11 and 12, at the church. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 11 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 12.
You can reach Knight at 330-666-1699.
