Garden shed is inexpensive, easy to build

By Mary Beth Breckenridge Published: March 17, 2014

I lust after garden sheds.

I’d love to have a quaint structure in my yard to hold my tools and gardening supplies, someplace other than the crammed shelves in my garage. And I like to think if I had a pretty place to putter, well, I’d putter a lot more.

So I’m intrigued by the garden shed Fine Homebuilding Editor Justin Fink built at the behest of the magazine’s sister publication, Fine Gardening.

The shed uses inexpensive materials and construction techniques that most do-it-yourselfers can handle, but it packs a lot of style into its diminutive dimensions.

Videos of some of the construction stages are online, with more to come. You can also download a 3D model of the project.
