Here in Northeast Ohio, we've gotten a lawn-care reprieve this spring. The chilly weather has thwarted grass growth and given us a break from mowing.
Why not use that extra time to attend to some other chores that will benefit your lawn?
The turfgrass experts who contribute to Ohio State University Extension's weekly Buckeye Yard & Garden Line e-newsletter recommend fertilizing, spot-seeding and judiciously applying crabgrass control while the weather's still cool, as well as getting mowers and other equipment in good shape. You can read all their recommendations here.
