Got a window? You've got gardening space
No space for a garden? Check out this window-mounted setup from the French design team of Nicolas Barreau and Jules Charbonnet.
The miniature garden is designed a little like a drawbridge. It swings down during the day to expose plants to the sun and can be closed at night to protect them. The plant holders swivel so they always stay upright.
Unfortunately the garden, called Volet vegetal, is still a prototype, according to the e-newsletter The Daily Good. It was created for French design competition Jardin Jardin and won top honors.
