Graf's offers high tunnel tours

By Mary Beth Breckenridge Published: July 24, 2013

If you've stopped at Graf Growers lately, you may be curious about the greenhouse-like structure that has cropped up in one of its fields.

Saturday, you can tour the structure, called a high tunnel, for free.

Graf's is offering tours at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon. Participants will be transported to the tunnel in a wagon and will learn about the benefits of high tunnels, which include extending the growing season and controlling the growing environment to produce higher yields.

Reservations are requested at 330-836-2727. Be sure to wear boots or old shoes.

Graf's is at 1015 White Pond Drive, Copley Township.
