Heirloom tomato seed sale
Tomato lovers, take note: TomatoFest is having an heirloom tomato seed sale through Jan. 21.
TomatoFest is the website of "Tomato Man" Gary Ibsen, founder of the renowned Carmel TomatoFest in California and a longtime champion of organic growing methods and heirloom tomatoes.
TomatoFest has 220 varieties on sale, most at $2 for a pack of 30 seeds -- half off the regular price. Supplies of some seeds are limited, so act fast if you want to grow some of the more uncommon types.
You don't even need to plant them this year. Seeds should last three to five years if they're stored properly.
