'Homegirl' back on Nate Berkus' show
Regular readers know I've been watching 'Homegirl' Gina Bishop's star rise for a few years now.
The Hudson resident's next brush with fame comes Monday, when she appears for a second time on The Nate Berkus Show. She'll be participating in a bedroom makeover challenge.
Bishop started drawing attention for her periodic barn sales and her Homegirl website, where she shares her creativity and passion for repurposing salvaged items. She and her sister appeared on Berkus' show in October, competing in a room makeover challenge using flea-market finds.
She later made a how-to video with HGTV star Eric Stromer as a winner in the GMC Let's Trade Secrets Challenge on Facebook. Recently she was asked to shoot more videos for MSN.com.
Her appearance on Berkus' show is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday on Cleveland's WUAB (Channel 43) and Youngstown's WYTV (Channel 33).
And mark your calendar for her next barn sale, 6 to 9 p.m. May 31 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 1-2 at her Maplewood Farm, 2357 Hudson-Aurora Road.
