Ikea to sell only LED lighting
Ikea is betting on the future of LED lighting.
The Swedish home-furnishings retailer has announced that LED is the only kind of lighting it will sell starting in 2016, according to a report in Illumination in Focus. It's also changing more than 1 million light sources in its stores to LED and other forms of highly efficient lighting, the report said.
The company pledged to sell LED replacement bulbs at "the lowest price on the market,” Steve Howard, chief sustainability officer of Ikea Group, told Illumination in Focus.
