Maybe you saw David Fluffy Gregory's interview with Bill Clinton this past weekend on Meet the Press. The Village Fluffy, always trying to keep it real, asked Clinton about that "vast right wing conspiracy".....

In a capitalistic society like ours where even "news" is consumed according to brandname, FOX, NBC etc, just like Cheerios or Wheaties......disinformation becoming rampant, I guess, is inevitable.

Today's capitalistic information providers seem to be pulling off the impossible, i.e., convincing Americans that they can have whatever facts they so desire. A kind of designer-news-and-information boutique, if you will, where whatever you want to believe, or already believe to be true,....is, viola!....true.

The imaginative Steve King (R-IA) says that gay marriage is a "purely socialistic concept."

Have you noticed how conservatives and Republicans see socialistic threats, like, everywhere? Damn odd, if you ask me.

The guy in the above picture is Bill Sparkman from Kentucky. He's now dead, having been hanged recently and left to rot in a remote area of Daniel Boone National Forest. That's right, he was hung from a tree and when found had the word "fed" scrawled on his chest.

I read a good one from the associate editor of NewsBusters. NewsBusters is a creatively conservative online site usually chock full of fact-free, wingnut postings.

Humans will lie about almost anything.....check that....Humans will lie about anything. I'm not sure whether the human habit of lying can be attributed to evolution or not. Perhaps we have been programmed over 15,000 years or so to deceive other humans for self-preservation purposes.

Minnesota Republican governor Tim Pawlenty has been touted as a potential GOP candidate for president. Pawlenty's name came up quite often as a possible vice-presidential pick for John McCain in 2008.

Ex-Alaska governor, Sarah Palin, Senator John Ensign (NV) and South Carolina governor Mark Sanford have also been touted as possible GOP presidential candidates for 2012. Each one has been having their own personal difficulties of late, to say the least.

I don't often take on one of the letters-to-the-editor appearing in the daily Beacon Journal. But, today, I'm going to....

If the cost of health care continues to rise in America, who will it hurt the most?

It won't be the wealthy, they will be able to continue to afford medical coverage, because...they're rich.

In a front page Beacon article today entitled, "Obama message optional in schools", staff writer John Higgins relates what Medina City Schools Superintendent, Randy Stepp, has decided to do about Tuesday's Obama speech to school kids. Censor it.

Superintendent Stepp says he has received "about 100 e-mails and calls" and they are "evenly split over the issue."

Crazy sh*t.... The extremists among conservatives in America are pegging the radical meter by threatening to take their kids out of public school the day President Obama is scheduled to speak via teevee to all school children. Obama, say the extremists, is seeking to indoctrinate students with......well...I have no idea...but it's scary and sneaky.

It could be called the Summer of Insanity. But that's too harsh, isn't it? Too shrill. Rather than refer to the brave, thoughtful and calmly-expressed, yet steroidally-enhanced, patriotism we've been witnessing this summer over the many Democratic proposals to kill our grandparents and turn all of us into socialist Obamabots with a strong desire to have a sex-change operation WHILE having a government paid for abortion....rather than call such an unusual display of love for country..insane, I prefer the title, WingnutStock 2009.

Instead of Peace and Love being the central theme of WingnutStock 2009, it's "gas chambers for seniors and babies".....so 40 years does make a difference, huh?.....
