Mainstream media has been covering for John McCain ever since the general election campaign began.

When I say "covering", what I mean is that the mainstream "news" people have refused to cover McCain's many, many flip-flops, errors, mistakes, contradictions, and hypocrises. If, in a moment of weakness, these same media creatures must cover one of McCain's unavoidable embarassments, they do so in an apologetic manner, never really faulting the Arizona senator, and always finding some justification.

It's good every now and then to review where we are and how we arrived here.

KneePad Interviewer: Warrior and Ex-POW John McCain, can you tell us when the surge began?

Ex-POW McCain: The surge actually started in 1998. Some Republican Warrior Leaders who are NOT ex-POW's, like me, say the surge started in 1991, but I think 1998 is the correct starting date for the surge.

CBS joined the McCain campaign the other day by propagandistically editing out an answer by the "straight talker" about George Bush's Iraq escalation tagged "the surge."

Many have suggested CBS consists of a bunch of, you know, liberal communists. I wonder why a bunch of liberal communists would use deceptive propaganda tactics to help John "War" McCain from being embarassed while simultaneously "sticking" it to Obama. I wonder.

I'm having a difficult time comprehending what extremist conservatives have been saying about America's president "listening to the commanders on the ground in Iraq." The propaganda spinning for a couple of years now has been that George, Commander Guy, Bush has only been making C-in-C decisions based on the situation "on the ground" in Iraq as mediated to him by the "commanders"....mainly General David Petraeus.

Barack Obama's firmly held position of removing our soldiers from Iraq has been blasted for not taking into consideration what the "commanders on the ground" have to say. Obama was mocked by John McCain because Obama already has his mind made up on the U.S. military leaving Iraq when he becomes president. The neo-conservative McCain said Obama had it backwards. Johnny Mac said Obama should go to Iraq first, talk with the "commanders on the ground".....and then....make a decision, instead of having his mind already made up.

If John McCain and George W. Bush's escalation plan for Iraq in January 2007, moronically tagged "the surge", has worked or is working or whatthehellever....why this?.....

I am fully cognizant of the fact that this comment by Maliki will not be allowed to stand as is. Truth is currently out of vogue inside the U.S.....and truth about George W. Bush and John McCain's imperialistic war of choice simply won't be allowed to prevail. It hasn't yet.

George W. Bush's favorite fig leaf is "executive privilege". When The Codpiece is, you know, sticking out dangerously far, George reaches for his 'privilege' fig leaf. It's Bush's blanky.

Interesting to note that president Bush has flip-flopped on talking to Iran....

Barack Obama will give a speech today that will focus specifically on foreign policy. Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, al-Qaeda....will all be part of that speech. Hopefully the substance of the speech will be covered fairly and accurately by mainstream media....however, I'm not holding my breath. It's tough for media to find the time or space for policy talk. Main media is simply swamped with more serious stuff like New Yorker magazine covers, what Hillary or Bill said yesterday, or deep and thorough discussions about Obama's "inexperience", his being "naive", or his "problem" connecting with white voters, you know, those "regular folks."

Wall Street is on edge about the well-being of the companies because Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac hold or back $5.3 trillion of mortgage debt, about half the outstanding mortgages in the United States. Worries over their future led to a volatile session Friday in which the Dow Jones industrial average dipped below the 11,000 mark for the first time in about two years before paring its losses.

Many proponents of American militarism have repeatedly boasted about how the great U.S. military machine had "routed" the Taliban following Bin Liden's successful attack on U.S. soil on September 11, 2001. These same militaristic minded proponents argued that America had "won" by defeating the Taliban, despite the fact that most of the top Bin Laden al-Qaeda extremists are still alive and well today.

I always enjoy reading about any local stories that confirm my suspicion that Ohio citizens, deep down in their religious hearts, have a great desire to turn the Buckeye State into the image of that great southern state, Mississippi. It's such a lofty goal.

Once again, the AB Journal editorializes in a deceptive manner about Barack Obama. This time about Obama's clear and steady position on ending the Iraq conflict and bringing our military home.

I caught just enough of Chris Matthews program, "Hardball", on MSNBC, last night to hear this....

The Republican brand of political parties and the Creationist brand of far right evangelicals have one thing in common. They both believe in advancing their causes by exercising an "end justifies the means" philosophy.

With Karl Rove's Republicans, permanent GOP rule in our federal government was/is the "end" sought after. The goal. It doesn't matter to these Rove Republicans if all offices overseen by the executive branch were organized through illegally hired and fired employees, as we've seen in the Justice Department meltdown and the United States Attorneys' firing scandal. Those illegal actions carried out under the leadership of president Bush, the Younger, were just the "means" to an "end" of permanent Republican rule in America.

Not the media you would like to have.

John McCain is not a great candidate for the Republican Party's presidential aspirations this year. Faithful GOP members admit that. Some even more honest GOP'ers think that Barack Obama is a pretty good candidate for the Democratic Party's presidential aspirations.

Just in case you have forgotten, or perhaps never heard one talk before, the following is what a true American patriot sounds like....

Johnny McCain has just made some changes to his campaign staff. It wasn't good enough for McCain to simply want to win George W. Bush's third term. J. Mac must also try to win the same way that Georgie did.....with plenty of Turdblossom campaign leadership.

Barack Obama on his plans to continue George W. Bush's " Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives".....
