Herman Cain has shot to the top in the latest NBC/Wall Street Journal polling....
Cain checks in as the first choice of 27 percent of Republican voters in the poll, followed by former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney at 23 percent and Perry at 16 percent.
Cain will not be the GOP candidate next fall....I can guarantee you that. But Cain's 9-9-9 plan to turn America into a Somalian-like hellhole....needs a response.
From Herman Cain's website....
Business Flat Tax – 9%
Gross income less all investments, all purchases from other businesses and all dividends paid to shareholders.
Empowerment Zones will offer additional deductions for payroll employed in the zone.
Individual Flat Tax – 9%.
Gross income less charitable deductions.
Empowerment Zones will offer additional deductions for those living and/or working in the zone.
National Sales Tax – 9%.
This gets the Fair Tax off the sidelines and into the game.
This 9-9-9 plan is what Cain calls Phase 1. Those working Americans who currently pay no income taxes because they don't make enough...income....will pay a 9% income tax on their meager incomes while also enjoying a 9% national sales tax increase on all the goods and services they spend those meager earnings on. That adds up to an 18% tax on the 47% of Americans who currently pay 0% now. This is known as bashing the working poor, punishing the working poor.
And what about the rich and powerful Americans, like Mr. Godfather Pizza himself? Rich Americans will see their income tax rate drop from 35.9% down to 9%. One fourth of the rate that they pay now. The rich will also be taxed on all their purchases at 9%....but as we know, the rich don't spend all of their income, like the poor do....so the rich are getting a huge break all the way around with Cain's plan. This is what is known as coddling the rich.....one of modern political-America's favorite pastimes.
If that isn't bad enough...and it is.....the GOP primary frontrunner has MORE in Phase 1 of his "turn America into Somalia in 4 years" plan.
Ends all payroll taxes
Ends the Death Tax
Features zero tax on capital gains and repatriated profits
Think about what Mr. GOP Primary Leader has set forward as a national plan. The end of Social Security and Medicare. If there are no more payroll taxes....there can be no more Medicare or Social Security. While the extremist Paul Ryan (R-WI) proposed privatizing Medicare, thus ending Medicare as we've known it....Herman Cain is proposing eliminating Medicare and Social Security as we currently know those programs. Not reforming them so that Wall Street can skim the revenue streams, as Ryan wanted to do.... but abolishing them altogether.
Also in Phase 1 is Cain's ending of the estate tax. Cain calls it the "death tax"....but that's simply Frank Luntz-Karl Rove speak for "rich Republicans are greedy bastards." There is no such thing as a "death tax." There is such a thing as an estate tax....and that tax only affects .6% of all Americans. Who will speak up on behalf of the poor, downtrodden top .6%....the top .6% who have to suffer the insult of paying estate taxes to the federal government when their parent dies and leaves them hundreds of millions....who will sympathize with those poor, filthy rich Americans? Herman Cain, that's who.
Capital gains tax elimination. If you think Wall Street traders are out of control right now.....gouging Americans by driving up oil and food prices because they can.....just wait if the capital gains tax is eliminated altogether. 25 hedge fund managers earned personal income of over $1 Billion last year. Take away the pitiful 15% that these gamblers had to pay in capital gains taxes...and hey, maybe they can make $2 billion a year off of their completely non-productive trading.
Behold the Herman. The man currently leading the GOP presidential primary race, if elected, would end Social Security and Medicare, eliminate capital gains and estate taxes, raise taxes on poor working Americans from 0% to 18%, all while reducing the income tax rates on the filthy rich from a top rate of 35.9% down to 9%.
We've seen and heard much from the Party of the Rich these last dozen years or so. The Republican Party has always been known for serving the favored rich few in the land.....it's just that before the last few years, Republicans would try to be more discreet about their servanthood status for the top 1%. Not any more. Today's Republicans are proud as peacocks to kneel before the rich few in America....and do their bidding.
Herman Cain has been honest enough to pull back the curtain on America's conservative political party and permit the little people to see the ugly, disgusting GOP-Oz Machine at work. Today's Republicans have no constituency other than the rich and powerful. Today's GOP frontrunner, Herman Cain, would radically dismantle our nation, punishing the poor and the weak while rewarding the coddled, rich few.
The fact that, today, Herman Cain leads all GOP primary candidates is a testament to the rotted and putrefying condition of the modern Republican Party. Why would ANYONE vote Republican next year?
