I'll have some video and text up soon reviewing last night's Obama/Clinton debate from CNN.....until then....
Just a quickie post here after I finished reading the Akron Beacon Journal this morning.
The Democratic primary is down to a woman and a black man who met for a nationally CNN televised debate last night. Never before in the history of our country has this happened. Last night was the first debate where it was beyond any doubt that a white man was NOT going to represent the Democratic Party in this presidential election. This has never happened in our nation's 200+ year history.
So the Beacon leaves this historic debate off it's front page. Why would they do that? Yeah there's some small wire service blurb about the debate seven or eight pages in, but when history is being made, who does Akron's only paper put on it's front page? Hannah Montana. In fact, her picture is on the front page of two of today's sections.
The Beacon publishers had an opportunity to print a history making story and place it on it's front page. They chose not to.
The question is why.
