Is 381 A Smaller Number Than 182?

By The Reverend Published: July 7, 2014

Follow along here and check my work.....see if I am missing something.

House Speaker John Boehner announced Wednesday he plans to file suit against President Obama over his alleged abuse of executive power....

Boehner had been weighing such a lawsuit in recent days, over concerns that Obama exceeded his constitutional authority with executive actions. Republicans have voiced frustration with Obama's second-term "pen and phone" strategy of pursuing policy changes without Congress....

(Boehner) said he plans to bring legislation authorizing the suit to the floor in July, citing concerns that Obama's executive actions could shift the "balance of power decisively and dangerously" in favor of the White House -- giving the president "king-like authority."

Seems clear that Boehner's threatened lawsuit against the president is because of Obama's alleged abuse of "executive actions".....which means Obama's executive orders.

To call Boehner's lawsuit threat a stunt is to malign those who do stunts for a living. That said, let's take a look at executive orders by modern era U.S. presidents. Maybe our first dark-skinned president is taking advantage of the office he was elected to, twice.

Ronald Reagan 381 executive orders

Bill Clinton 364 executive orders.

George W. Bush 291 executive orders

Barack Obama 182 executive orders (in 5 1/2 years)

As you can easily see in the numbers, President Obama is completely out of control on this executive order stuff. Obama still trails 2-termer, Ronaldus Maximus in the executive order competition by almost 200 signed orders.

Now if 182 executive orders in 5 1/2 years of a two term dark-skinned Democratic president is evidence of "king-like authority"....what would 381 executive orders by a two-term Republican president be evidence of?

Answer: The greatest president America has ever seen.

See how that all works? I don't either.

CNN doesn't understand the math either....and that is why the puff-news outlet gave John Boehner opportunity to explain his lawsuit against the Criminal-in-Chief Obama...

What's disappointing is the President's flippant dismissal of the Constitution we are both sworn to defend. It is utterly beneath the dignity of the office.

182 executive orders over 5 1/2 years by a dark-skinned Democratic president is "utterly beneath the dignity of the office." 381 executive orders over 8 years of Ronald Reagan's presidency is evidence for chiseling the Gipper's likeness on Mt. Rushmore.

No doubt, to Villagers, any review of the total number of executive orders per president will be a "he-said-he-said" issue which "journalists" won't be able to clarify for American audiences without the appearance of, you know,, for now, everyone who is anyone must pretend that Boehner's threat of a lawsuit based on Obama's "king-like" habit of signing executive orders should be taken Very Seriously. CNN, obviously, is Very Serious.

You will have to set aside the fact that Speaker Boehner hsa no "standing" to file a lawsuit against the president. The remedy that Congress has available for out-of-control presidents is the impeachment process.....but as you know, Republicans reserve the impeachment remedy for Democratic presidents who fib about consensual sex in depositions in civil suits...civil suits which are later thrown out by judges.

And besides, Boehner, the Very Serious Speaker-Leader that he is, can always file impeachment articles in the House after he finds out whether Republicans take control of the Senate this November. For Republicans, it is always about principle and eternal values...never about political sideshows of wacky stuntsmanship.

President Obama is a daily reminder to conservatives and Republicans of the demographic train bearing down on the white-male political party. Sure, since January 2009, Republicans and conservatives have often explained that their hatred of all things Obama is based entirely on "policy differences", not skin color.

But tell me, how does a conservative explain why Obama's 182 executive orders are evidence of presidential-office abuse and Reagan's 381 executive orders are not evidence of presidential abuse? Because if math hasn't been compromised by some vast left wing conspiracy, it would appear that the policy driving Reagan's and Obama's executive order identical. Presidents with opposition party Congress's bypassing that opposition by using executive orders.

Policy differences? I think not.

I wonder what it is about President Obama that makes his meager 182 executive orders worthy of a Congressional lawsuit? What could it be? Is there something fundamentally different about Barack Obama as compared to say, all other presidents? Do you think Village media knows what the difference is? Do you think Speaker Boehner knows what the difference is?

The one thing I've heard over and over.....the thing that is NOT the Obama's skin color. So don't you ever say that that's what the difference is...because it's not.
