How do you know for sure that the tentative Iranian deal is the right thing for America and the world?
Because these guys are against it.....
"Practically the worst of all possible outcomes, because now what you have here is a nuclear capable state," (Former CIA Director Michael) Hayden said.
"I am disappointed by the terms of the agreement between Iran and the P5+1 nations because it does not seem proportional. Iran simply freezes its nuclear capabilities while we reduce the sanctions..." (NY Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer)
This is not, as the Obama administration leaked before the deal became public, a “compromise” on Iran’s claimed “right” to enrichment. This is abject surrender by the United States. (Former UN Ambassador John Bolton)
Regime survival is the only thing the mullahs value above nuclear weapons. And yet precisely at the point of maximum leverage, President Obama is offering relief in a deal that is absurdly asymmetric: The West would weaken sanctions in exchange for cosmetic changes that do absolutely nothing to weaken Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. (Charles Krauthammer)
There has never been any compelling evidence that Iranian leaders have been pursuing nuclear weapons. Oh, there's been a lot of noise claiming just the opposite....but absolutely no empirical evidence. However, none of that matters....because really, really smart people...like Schumer and Bolton....know stuff that everyone else doesn't know. They just know.
Just as these same guys knew that Saddam was loaded with WMD posing an imminent threat to the U.S. mainland. Just as they knew that Syrian leader Assad had used chemical weapons on his own people. Just as they knew that Putin's intervention in the Syrian issue would humiliate the U.S.
Neo-conservative warmongers.....just know. And if you don't trust what neo-con warmongers just know.....then it's most likely because you harbor hateful feelings towards America.
All of those I quoted above helped to lead our nation into carrying out an international war crime against the non-threatening nation of Iraq. 4500 U.S. soldiers died in that war crime and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. The cost in the trillions. The goal was not eliminating some Iraqi nuclear or WMD threat then.....it was regime change resulting in a permanent U.S. presence in the oil rich country.
And it's not WMD or nuclear capability now with Iran. The goal is the same as with Iraq....regime change. An overthrow of a sovereign nation's government, replacing it with a more Western-friendly government. One that will welcome further private exploitation of Iran's vast energy reserves and strategic shipping routes.
In other words...imperialism. What is imperialism?....
:a policy or practice by which a country increases its power by gaining control over other areas of the world
: the effect that a powerful country or group of countries has in changing or influencing the way people live in other, poorer countries
Perhaps you have heard that what we've been doing militarily in the Middle East these past 12 years is 'going after them there bad terrorist guys.' And yes, we have eliminated many al-Qaeda types. But let's get real here. Since the fall of the Soviet Union, American neo-conservatives have been foaming at the mouth to take full advantage of America's lone superpower status.
If you are still unaware of PNAC....the Project for the New American Century.....whose members consist of Bill Kristol, Dick Cheney, John Bolton, Don Rumsfeld and a host of other brand name neo-cons.....then it might be time to brush up on their strategic plans for the U.S. to dominate the Middle East....and it's resources. Iran.....is PNAC's gold ring.
Saddam didn't have any WMD......Iran doesn't have any nuclear weapons. But it is the role of PNAC-believers to persuade Americans of just the opposite. It took defrauding of Congress and the American people to gain "approval" to commit the war crime of Iraq. The same neo-cons did their best, yet failed, to buffalo the Obama administration and the American people into militarily attacking Syria. Those same folks were beside themselves when Obama out maneuvered their lust for killing more middle eastern "enemies" in Syria.
Now the prize is Iran. Some say that Iran has always been the prize. "Real men go to Tehran" dontchaknow. But with the latest negotiations with Iranian leaders by the America-hating duo of John Kerry and Barack Obama "real men" might be stymied in their quest to shed more middle eastern blood to reach their imperialistic goals.
And so our Thanksgiving week is ushered in with the oh-my-god cries from the warmongers in our midst. Do not fall prey to their bloodlusting.
It's always better to negotiate a peaceful agreement than to start killing people.
