You know how Bill Maher has his "New Rules" stuff? Bush's Boys are trying to do Maher one better......"New Definitions"...
A top intelligence official says it is time people in the United States changed their definition of privacy.
Here's the new definition....
Privacy no longer can mean anonymity, says Donald Kerr, the principal deputy director of national intelligence. Instead, it should mean that government and businesses properly safeguards people's private communications and financial information. Link
Here's what the new definition of privacy no longer means, "Privacy no longer can mean anonymity...".
Here's what the new definition is, ".... it should mean that government and businesses properly safeguards people's private communications and financial information."
Which leads me, as I incorporate the new definition into our 4th amendment, to this conclusion....
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and
effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and
no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or
affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the
persons or things to be seized.... with the exceptions of private communications and financial information which will be safeguarded by government and corporations.
Privacy without anonymity.
That would be kind of like ownership without exclusivity.
Employment without work.
Or freedom without independence.
Wow, these new definitions are great fun.
I'm thinking the reason that this new definition is needed is to help the Eavesdropper in Chief (government) and his Big Telco buddies(corporations) from being, like, convicted by a judge and jury of....umm....violating the "old" definition.
