Newt Gingrich, July 16th, 2006, on Meet the Press, speaking about the "war on terror".....
"We're in the early stages of what I would describe as the third World War....
I believe if you take all the countries I just listed that you've been covering, put them on a map, look at all the different connectivity, you have to say to yourself: this is, in fact, World War III." Link
Newt Gingrich yesterday.....
There is a war here at home, and it is even more deadly than the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Far more Americans are being killed by violent, evil people here in America than in our official military "combat zones" overseas.
Either Congress will pass a bill to establish a new system for winning the war here at home and protecting Americans from criminal illegal aliens or Congress will fail to act and we would know we need a new Congress.Link
As I've mentioned before, within the Republican Party and the Knee Pad Media, Gingrich is regarded as a very deep and serious thinker. He's regarded as a brilliant historian who carries within his brain a wide spectrum of understanding about humanity and the world that ordinary people couldn't possibly match up to.
I must admit, thinking like that depicted in Newt's quotes above, is quite beyond the thinking of mere mortals.
According to the Newton.....George W. Bush's Global War On Terror is, in fact, World War 3. That seems like quite a stretch, but then Gingrich can't be matched for intelligence and deep thinking. I mean, he's written books and everything.
And now, over a year later, Newt tells us that illegal immigration is a "war here at home....more deadly than Iraq and Afghanistan".
Wow. Illegal immigration in America is more deadly than World War 3! Who knew? Iraq has a minimum of over 100,000 dead people, and countless wounded. Blood is flowing daily in and around Afghanistan. America has 3700 dead soldiers and 25,000-30,000 wounded. Dick Cheney wants to do an instant replay in Iran and Syria......but Newt Gingrich, wise sage that he is, tells the unwashed that illegal immigration is "more deadly".
Wisdom like that is, indeed, hard to find.
