I understand that any discussions about Saddam's WMD, nuclear programs and such are oh-so-2003.....however this is...I don't know....interesting...
On Sept. 18, 2002, CIA director George Tenet briefed President Bush in the Oval Office on top-secret intelligence that Saddam Hussein did not have weapons of mass destruction, according to two former senior CIA officers. Bush dismissed as worthless this information from the Iraqi foreign minister, a member of Saddam's inner circle, although it turned out to be accurate in every detail. Tenet never brought it up again. Nor was the intelligence included in the National Intelligence Estimate of October 2002, which stated categorically that Iraq possessed WMD. No one in Congress was aware of the secret intelligence that Saddam had no WMD as the House of Representatives and the Senate voted, a week after the submission of the NIE, on the Authorization for Use of Military Force in Iraq. The information, moreover, was not circulated within the CIA among those agents involved in operations to prove whether Saddam had WMD.
The author is Sidney Blumenthal and the title of his piece is "Bush knew Saddam had no weapons of mass destruction". Right away any informed person, can see that this piece can't be true. Why? Well, first of all, the Dear Leader knew Saddam HAD WMD. And the Dear Leader KNEW this because he talked to his higher power father. See, Blumenthal talked to who?...George Tenet. Now Tenet was head of the CIA but let's face it...who has more clout here....George Tenet or God? I mean, God is, like, the Director of the Universe. Pretty simple when you look at it that way, isn't it?
If Bush said that the no-WMD information Tenet was sharing with him about Iraq was to be "dismissed as worthless"....then I'll state for the record right now.....that information WAS worthless. What should Americans believe after all.....their own eyes? Just because no one has found any WMD, at all, in Iraq, means what?.....that "reality based" folks can't see what the Leader sees....that's all it means.
Now let's get to this part....
"Nor was the intelligence included in the National Intelligence Estimate of October 2002, which stated categorically that Iraq possessed WMD."
The Reverend can explain this. This, I'm relatively sure, was a simple personnel matter. A Godsend, really. I bet a Regency University(Pat Robertson University) graduate, (they speak to the higher power also), knew that Tenet's source was wrong, and so simply deleted it as any Born Again Believer In The Messianic Role Of George W. Bush, would do. What was this soon-to-be-raptured lawyer of God SUPPOSED to do?...huh?....use empirical evidence or faith while making such an important decision? Others might call it a clerical error of omission....me?....I call it what it is.....a miracle.
Read the Blumenthal piece....it's quite revealing on how the "faith based" versus the "reality based" communities, before the Iraq invasion, didn't agree at all.
Thank the Good Lord Bush that faith won the day. Otherwise all hell could have broken out in Iraq.
