It seems that the Lake Local School district is being challenged by the Freedom From Religion Foundation.

Lake Local Schools, a public school system just south of my old stomping grounds, has this sentence in their "mission statement"..........

I was an ardent supporter of Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primaries of last year. Obama campaigned, correctly saying that he, alone, of all the candidates, could build a new coalition of voters in America by talking straight and confronting decades-old national problems. I didn't see any provisions in the numerous versions of Congress' health care reform bills which stated that one of President Obama's ultimate health reform goals was to take the penises of all American males.

Up until this school year, high school classes where the Bible is the focus of study have only been available in some Texas public schools.

Over the past number of years, whenever I suggested that George W. Bush was actually an American terrorist leader, I was quickly reprimanded by those Serious and Grown-up Conservatives who immediately sought to describe the former president as "protecting us from Islamofascists."

Today, I read in the Community section of the Beacon what Geauga County Republican state senator Tim Grendell, speaking at yesterday's Cuyahoga Falls, Republican Party Tea Bagging protest event, said to a crowd of 7000 Tea Baggers....

Much has been said about the young black man outside of an Arizona health care reform town hall. The one who had an AR-15 semi-automatic assault weapon strapped to his back.

Some rather imaginative conservatives have suggested that the assault weapon toter was an Obama plant. The man was black and Obama is black, so, you know, blacks stick together, I guess. See....according to this conspiracy theory.....this black Obama plant was strategically placed so that the media would cover what appeared to be a gun nut willing to endanger a town hall crowd by carrying a weapon that could easily slaughter hundreds of people, not to mention the toter's proximity, and threat, to the President.

Conservatives in 2005 rushing to overrule one family's end-of-life decision.

Conservatives say that they do not trust the federal government. These same conservatives say that because the federal government cannot be trusted, the best course is to limit the size and scope of the federal government's power and reach.

Let me start out today by stating the facts. Abortion is legal in this nation. The abomination known as the Hyde Amendment currently prevents government money from being used to pay directly for abortions.

These two facts are now clashing with each other in health care reform negotiations. Here's a few tastes...

President Obama, considered by half of southern voters to not be a U.S. citizen, has proven how dangerous it is for America to grant amnesty to the undocumenteds. In Obama's case, first he works his bony, non U.S citizen ass into the White House, no simple matter that......and now, according to some popular pitbull wearing lipstick, he is on the cusp of setting up "death panels" to, apparently, hand select who gets to live and who doesn't. Kind of a cost-benefit-analysis-horror-movie kind of thing.

Maybe readers have noticed. I've been pissed off this week about the overt dishonesty of a corrupt corporate media hellbent on propagandizing the American public over town halls and health care reform.
