Ever since the time I observed MSNBC's David Gregory playing Karl Rove's back-up dancer at some Knee Pad get together in the cesspool we call Washington D.C.......I've paid closer attention to the information this alleged journalist shares with American viewers. In the following three minute video clip from Wednesday's Hardball.....Gregory leaves no doubt where his loyalties lie....

Scott McClellan, former press secretary for the Bush administration, just released a new inside the White House book entitled, "What Happenned: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception." McClellan has been a close friend of George W. Bush for over ten years and one of his most loyal defenders.

Over the past dozen years or so empirical data, scientific evidence, and basic truth have all fallen out of favor inside America. I don't really know why. Perhaps it's because of post modernist thinking, that there is no absolute truth about anything, influencing the U.S. population more than I had previously imagined. Perhaps it's because of criminal minded politicos regarding truth as something to be avoided at all costs. Perhaps it's because of "faith basers" whose faith is opposed to scientific truth. Whatever the explanation might be.....last week's media story about Jimmy Carter and Israel's nuclear weapons spotlights this odd phenomenon once again.

I've been thinking about the crude oil/gasoline price issue quite a bit. Crude is advancing on $140 bbl and gasoline will top $4 per gallon and advance towards $5 this summer. Naturally, this will be devastating to America's already struggling economy.

It didn't have to be this way.

Opponents of our next president, President Barack Obama, have sought to blemish the Democratic candidate by calling into question, with trivial and meaningless tripe about lapel pins and the pledge of allegiance, his patriotism.

These Republican opponents of Obama consider themselves to be THE patriots. Endlessly we have heard,over the last 30 years, how brave and resolute and courageous Republican leaders are in keeping our nation "safe". Their's, they say, is the "national security" party, the party of the patriotic.

No, not Anna Nicole or one of the other bimbos-du-jour,.....the Rev. John Hagee's great whore.

Last night on Keith Olbermann's Countdown, Keith had one of his longest "Special Comments" segments to date. It's focus was Mike Allen's interview with George W. Bush on Tuesday. Allen was representing Politico.com, one of the most establishment servicing websites ever put together (besides Drudge). Mike Allen, I'll state from the beginning, is a bit of a freakish "reporter", at least to me. Mike's deep love and admiration for Mr. 28% has never wavered during the 7 1/2 years of George, the Younger's reign of error and terror. Beachball soft questions, indicative of Allen's infatuation with the Maniac-in-Chief, were all that Allen could muster.

On April 15th of this year, John McCain gave a speech focusing on the American economy and what he would do about current economic challenges.

As we await the West Virginia primary results.....and the 7 straight days that will follow, with the Knee Pad Alumni all focusing on Obama's "problem" with white voters.....I want to return to the scene of the crime, so to speak.... the Rev. Jeremiah Wright issue. I've been thinking about the Wright issue and I believe strongly that there is a dishonest disconnect being manufactured out of whole double standard cloth here.

The Times piece explained how McCain helped Iseman's lobbying client Paxson Communications receive special treatment from the FCC in a request for more single market media control. We found out from that story that the Straight Talker was not above some Straight Influence Peddling.

Well now there's another influence peddling story about another one of McCain's powerful friends in yet another NY Times piece.....

One of the contentions of the blinded right is that America's president should be hesitant to sit down with world leaders with whom we disagree. Those labeled by this neo-conservative position as America's "enemies". Here, in a clip from John McCain's senior advisor, Mark Salter, this blindness is fleshed out a bit.....

In this morning's editorial the Brokeback Beacon tells Hillary...."I just can't quit you".....

The fact that Hillary Clinton canceled all her public appearances today speaks volumes. As I watched and listened to her speech late last night, she appeared sedated. Her words, though not slurred, were spoken oddly. She knows it's over.

Short and unsweet on today's primaries.

The same media people who believe America's most important issue is a retired pastor, will be the ones tonight who won't want to talk about North Carolina and Obama's win there. You know, it's all because of the blacks.

In this episode of "Meet the Stupids"....we join Hillary Clinton and John McCain as they desperately flop around grasping for anything that will bolster their hollow and sagging campaigns. Both establishment figures have suggested that over the summer Americans should have 18 1/2 cents of federal taxes on a gallon of gasoline lifted to give all the little people, you know, a break.

Here's the video, you've probably already seen it...

The Akron Beacon Journal, earlier this year, endorsed Hillary Clinton and John McCain to be this fall's presidential candidates. As a result and because, I suppose, the Beacon is such a professional and objective provider of deep and serious news, Obama articles have been absent from virtually every daily edition. Sure, anti-Obama stuff has been printed all over the opinion page....Dowd, Krauthammer, Will, Brooks, Dowd again, etc.....but, you know, fair and balanced reporting on Obama and his policies.....crickets.

That is until yesterday. Yesterday must have been declared a free-fire-on-Obama day for Akron's only newspaper. A somber picture of Obama on the front and last page of section A, complete with ominous uncertainties about the Rev Wright "controversy", a main editorial entitled "Politician Obama", full of lukewarm pap and more Wright "controversy", an almost full page Maureen Dowd attack-Obama screed fully adorned with a huge picture of the Rev. Wright and...and...a piece by Steve Hoffman entitled, "The relentless trivialization of presidential politics".

According to a new Newsweek article, there are now documents which explain how the Bush administration conspired together with AT&T and Verizon to come up with ways to force the passage of the dreadful telco amnesty bill.
