A few weeks ago John McCain put out a teevee ad that opened with images of Britney and Paris. Shortly after that ad began running, Paris put out her own ad. All in good fun I suppose. But now McCain has gone and hired Paris, I mean Palin, for his running mate.
Speaking before voters in Colorado Springs, the Republican vice presidential nominee claimed that lending giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had "gotten too big and too expensive to the taxpayers." The companies, as McClatchy reported, "aren't taxpayer funded but operate as private companies. The takeover may result in a taxpayer bailout during reorganization." Source
Ready on Day One, for McCain's soulmate, means having stylish new glasses to wear, but, apparently, it doesn't mean she has to know anything at all about how the nation actually, you know, works.
