"Something Other Than Victims Of Their Gender"

By The Reverend Published: January 24, 2014

Here is what Bill Kristol's favorite 2016 GOP presidential candidate had to say about women, Democrats and somebody he called "Uncle Sugar"......

"If the Democrats want to insult the women of America by making them believe that they are helpless without Uncle Sugar coming in and providing for them a prescription each month for birth control because they cannot control their libido or their reproductive system without the help of the government, then so be it," Huckabee said. "Let's take that discussion all across America."

See? "Democrats..want..to..insult..the...women..of...America..."...not all the Republicans who have been introducing and passing hundreds of laws to restrict female autonomy while questioning the validity of "some rapes."

Huckabee, another former GOP governor who thinks he's the smartest guy in every room, ingeniously places the words "cannot control their libido" on the lips of Democrats...when, in reality it was Conservative King, Rush Bimbobaugh, official carrier of Republican water, who made national news by repeatedly referring to Sandra Fluke as a....."slut."

But set the Huck's silly and nasty-tasting Talibangelical word salad aside for a moment.... Here is the important part of what Huckabee said yesterday...

“I think it’s time Republicans no longer accept listening to the Democrats talk about a 'war on women,'" Huckabee said during a speech at the Republican National Committee's winter meeting in Washington. "The fact is the Republicans don’t have a war on women, they have a war for women, to empower them to be something other than victims of their gender.”

"victims of their gender"

Now, the exegesis.

In the three major Abrahamic faiths, Judaism, Islam and Christianity....women are not recognized as equals with men. The reason, other than men always wanting to control everything, comes out of the Adam and Eve mythology. You see, it was woman who tempted man originally. Like Huck stated it....Eve was just a "victim of her gender"....couldn't help tempting the man because, I guess, her horniness was simply uncontrollable.

Further, if one takes the Adam and Eve myth seriously, the woman "deceived" Adam into "eating the apple", as it were....when he was told not to. The She corrupted the He. As you can see, woman got off to a bad start...being blamed for everything that initially went wrong. Sound familiar ladies?

Why do primitive Muslim faiths compel women to wear the burqa? Why do some Christian sects still make women wear head-coverings and remain silent in church? Why did ancient Judaism consider females to be "unclean?" Look no further than "the woman tempted and deceived me" story from the age of Father Abraham.

Now consider what Big Mike Huckabee said......Republicans want "to empower" women "to be something other than victims of their gender.” The former Arkansas governor admits here that Republicans actually believe women ARE uniquely "victims of their gender" and that his political party, contrary to what Democrats say, want women to become "something other than" what they are.....the "victims of their gender."

That paternalistic hokum is what many "faith-basers" still believe today....in 2014. Needless to say, that hokum is offensive to women....and should be to men as well.

But good god, the reason Huckabee said the patently ignorant stuff he said was to counter the notion that Republicans are waging a political war on women. Not sure Big Mike helped the GOP cause here. In fact, it is exactly because of ignorance-based comments, like the Huck's, that Republicans do so poorly with the female demographic. Think..."legitimate rape."

But wait, it gets worse. Huckabee is not some second tier blog diarist. Mike Huckabee was a serious contender for the GOP presidential nomination in 2008. Add to that WTF, the words of Rick Santorum, the most serious contender for the GOP 2012 nomination behind Mitt Romney....

I think the dangers of contraception in this country, the whole sexual libertine idea. Many in the Christian faith have said, “Well, that’s okay. Contraception’s okay.”

It’s not okay because it’s a license to do things in the sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be....

Two recent and serious contenders for the GOP presidential nomination.....two galactically ignorant and superstition-based insults directed towards females whom, apparently, just can't control their own libidos.

Female voters need to pay attention to what Republicans are really saying about you. And then engage the GOP in their war against your freedom and autonomy.... responding in kind by voting all their sorry asses out of office ASAP.
