The Israeli military has intervened in the civil war in Syria. There were reports over the weekend of at least two Israeli missile strikes inside Syria. Israel's excuse for striking inside Syria unilaterally is a pre-emptive excuse.....reportedly "game changing" weapons must be stopped from being transferred to the extremist group, Hezbollah. I've seen this movie several times before, so I'm not believing anything offered up in the American press on what has happened over the weekend.
However, there are very important findings by UN investigators in Syria which Reuters reported Sunday evening at approximately 6 PM. It seems odd to me...that while the AB Journal, for example, included the AP "game changing" weapons and the Israeli missile strikes in Syria story in this morning's edition.....nothing was mentioned from the Reuters report.
Here's the kernel of the Reuters report last evening.....a report that I consider to be a huge story.....
U.N. human rights investigators have gathered testimony from casualties of Syria's civil war and medical staff indicating that rebel forces have used the nerve agent sarin, one of the lead investigators said on Sunday....
"This was use on the part of the opposition, the rebels, not by the government authorities," she (UN independent commission member Carla Del Ponte) added, speaking in Italian.
Take note here. The world has been told that it's the Assad regime who is using chemical weapons on his own people. President Obama has been lambasted by U.S. warmongers for not responding immediately to the alleged "red line crossing" by Assad's purported use of chemical weapons....John McCain, April 25th......
“It is clear that the Syrians have crossed the red line that the president said was a game changer, so it should change the game,” McCain said.
But the UN report is the real "game changer" here. It's not Assad who has used chemical weapons, it's the "rebels". It seems odd that, for example, the Beacon saw fit to print the AP piece which included this...."The (Israeli) airstrikes come as Washington considers how to respond to indications the Syrian regime may have used chemical weapons in its civil war." Especially odd considering that the Reuters UN commission report explaining that the sarin gas came from "rebels" not Assad's regime, was available early last evening.
But there's more. On a Friday Current TV appearance, Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson had this to say about all this chemical-weapons-being-used-in-Syria stuff....
…“I think the president’s statement was very circumspect, very prudent,” Wilkerson says. “We don’t know what the chain of custody is. This could’ve been an Israeli false flag operation, it could’ve been an opposition in Syria, … or it could’ve been an actual use by [Syrian President] Bashar al-Assad. But we certainly don’t know with the evidence we’ve been given. And what I’m hearing from the intelligence community is that that evidence is really flakey…. “This could have been an Israeli false flag operation,” he said. “You’ve got basically a geo-strategically, geo-political — if you will — inept regime in Tel Aviv right now.”
Naturally, Wilkerson's words will be dismissed and condemned as anti-semitic....no matter what the truth is. Most likely, the UN commission report will be downplayed because....well...it's the UN....and everybody knows that the UN hates all things Israeli, just ask former UN Ambassador John Bolton.
It's impossible to know all the answers from Syria's bloody civil war yet....but it surely is shaping up to look like the Israeli tail is doing its best to wag the mighty American dog. President Obama's rush to defend the Israeli missile strikes was exceptionally nauseating....
“What I have said in the past and … I continue to believe is that the Israelis justifiably ... have to guard against the transfer of advanced weaponry to terrorist organizations like Hezbollah.”
Sure Barack....in the same way the U.S. had to pre-emptively strike all those Iraqi WMD, right?
The United States and Israel have the most sophisticated and dangerous weaponry on planet earth. The two joined-at-the-hip nations have also been the earth's most violent nations over the last 60 years. Not fluff, facts.
Is it possible, then, that Israeli infiltrators inside Syria, or members of the U.S./Israeli-backed Free Syria Army, purposely released a certain amount of sarin gas in the midst of the Syrian struggle to 1) justify Israeli missile strikes inside Syria and 2) to drag the U.S. and its allies into yet another middle eastern conflict?
