The Reverend Praises Fox News

By The Reverend Published: April 16, 2009

King dove off the deep end the other day in responding to the Department of Homeland Security report citing far-right extremist dangers. I wanted to post something in response to King's rather conspiratorial comprehension of that report......but instead,.....I'm going to let Fox News do my blogging for me this time. That's right, no typo.....freaking Fox News. It's all part of The Reverend's "fair and balanced" approach to "reporting", allowing YOU to "decide" know, like Fox....

This Shepherd Smith piece is exceptionally good.....

Boehner's comment yesterday....

"To characterize men and women returning home after defending our country as potential terrorists is offensive and unacceptable," Boehner said.

Other level-headed GOP'er comments....

"The department is engaging in political and ideological profiling of people who fought to keep our country safe from terrorism, uphold our nation's immigration laws, and protect our constitutional right to keep and bear arms," said Rep. Gus Bilirakis, R-Fla.,

Texas Rep. Lamar Smith accused the department of painting "law-abiding Americans, including war veterans, as 'extremists.'"

Indiana Rep. Steve Buyer, the ranking Republican on the House Veterans' Affairs committee, said it was "inconceivable" that the administration would consider military veterans a potential terrorist threat.

I think it's interesting to note that the DHS report that Boehner is bemoaning was commissioned to be done by the last president, Republican George W. Bush. Also worth noting is the fact that DHS has already issued a report warning of leftist extremist groups. Fair and balanced, I'd say, like Shep's video clip above.
