Well, hell, I take exception to the idea set forth by this blogger that the Plain Dealer has better bloggers than the Beacon. Some of what he says....

Bill Clinton understands the political strategy of the Bush Bunglers. He calls it "bait and switch", in football it would be called a misdirection play, while The Reverend might call it "being ashamed to talk about the crimes they have committed".

The Akron Beacon Journal opinion page editors need taken to the woodshed for printing today's Michael Smerconish, "What do we owe those killed in Iraq?" opinion piece. The Beacon can't bring itself to print national blogger pieces that have been correct about everything dealing with Iraq from before the invasion. But the ABJ can print opinions from an endless stream of clueless wingnuts who have never been correct about any of it and are still just as clueless today.

New CNN video piece on 9-11, you need to see it if you haven't....or not, whatever....it's three minutes long....

Ahhh....those gloriously patriotic days leading up to the Decider's decision to warn the U.N. inspectors to get out of Iraq so he could begin the long awaited quagmire. Remember those great days when White House and media deception spread like the smell of napalm every morning? All that seemed to really matter to "journalists" and politicians during those memorable times was that the Commander Guy was going to continue to kill Muslims. Great times, those.

The one topic missing from most of the Main Stream Media's "reporting" concerning Iraq, the quagmire formerly known as a sovereign nation, is what Iraq has that the West wants. The oil. Iraq contains, under it's sands, the second largest reservoir of oil in the world, second only to Saudia Arabia.

One of today's Beacon Journal editorial pieces is in dire need of The Reverend's attention. Entitled, "MoveOn.org and the B-word", it demonstrates to the letter what I've been saying all along about how very, very serious Main Stream Media people are. Read MoveOn's piece here.

The phrase Knee Pad Media, as some of you know, is my title of endearment for the Main Stream Media. There are varying degrees of Knee Padding, as it were, but the object of all of the servicing of the powerful is to help those who are in power. While "helping" the powerful, these Padders also think they are helping themselves....access, careerism, party invites, etc. Sort of an "I'll do you and then you do me" approach, if you'll pardon the crudity.

When opinions are considered concerning the success of the Great and Glorious Surge in Iraq implemented by the orders of Our Great and Glorious Leader, one opinion is kind of, like, left out of the discussion. The opinion of the Iraqi people themselves.

Leaving is losing when it comes to the middle east and if constructing U.S. military bases is a sign that we're not leaving.....then........we're not leaving......ever. But look at where the neo-conservative genuises are building their newest base....

Supporters of the neo-conservative war against the Iraqi people have lately been trotting out a gloom and doom scenario if we take U.S. troops out of that country. It's a tired and worn out meme but the neos keep using it and, in fact, have amplified it even more during the expected propaganda build-up to the now galaxy famous, "Petraeus report". The "report", as all hold their breath, will be given this week, the same week, I'm sure only by coincidence, that 9-11 is commemorated.

Big cable companies like Comcast and Time Warner have virtual monopolies on providing high-speed internet to local communities. But what good are monopolies if captive consumer markets can't be fully exploited? That's the American way, of course, so these monopolies are seeking to buildout that exploitation. Here's one of the ways they will do it.....

I've been reading the transcript of what was billed as a GOP "debate" last night hosted by the completely untrustworthy FOX "News" and narrated by the more untrustworthy and shamelessly partisan Brit Hume.

Akron Beacon Journal opinion page writers Thursday, September, 6, 2007......George Will, David Broder, Robert Samuelson and Maureen Dowd.....veteran beltway elitists all. These four are the opinion makers, the wise, seasoned, D.C. insiders, who form the opinions for all of the unwashed and untrustworthy masses.

Amazing as it is after all this time...today's Akron Beacon Journal editorial "Letter From Bremer" still seeks to protect and defend the worst president this nation has ever seen. Timid, as usual, and seeking to blame others rather than the man who calls himself the Decider and Commander Guy, the Beacon editorial summarizes this N.Y. Times piece about letters Bremer had sent to Bush, and Bush back to Bremer, about disbanding the Iraqi military.

During my almost 6 decades I haven't witnessed anything quite like the George W. Bush regime.

This may be a familiar Ron Suskind anecdote, but it bears repeating.....

The Reverend certainly isn't breaking any news when he states that the media is oh-so-liberal. I think that every American knows now that those great protectors of truth, the infamous Main Stream Media, is so oriented to the left that it's members carry around with them a stench-cloud of French-made cheese and Cuban cigars.

Let's dust off the once popular slogan of the American executive neo-conservative regime, when speaking of their "plan" for Iraq, called..."Stand up-stand down".

Our old war with Iraq is just not getting the mileage we hoped for and it's old and rusty and falling apart. Time for a new war. A new and exciting air war. Those are the best for teevee anyway. Lots of stuff getting blown up. Bold new slogans of bloody patriotism on 'newschannel' screens everywhere. My, how the advertising revenues will flow.

Everyone is interested in what the slimeball, pukestation Karl Rove is going to do next, after leaving the White House. In this new National Review piece by the TurdBlossom, it sure looks like Bush's Brain is going to try stand-up comedy....

This stuff is truly hard to believe, but here it is anyway....
