As they look ahead to the 2014 midterms, Republicans have announced their intention to focus entirely on the roll out problems of Obamacare. Anagram man and RNC Chair, Reince Preibus boldly proclaimed that Republicans would proudly "tattoo" the roll out problems on Obama's forehead....even though Obama will not be up for election.....ever....again.
Speaker Boehner has informed that the House would do very little, if anything, the rest of the year for fear that they might interrupt the hysterical-roll Republicans believe they are on in bashing and mocking the healthcare law's implementation.
To that foolish GOP plan, Republicans have added more foolishness. You see, when Republicans announce their intentions to focus exclusively on the ACA's roll out woes, they set themselves up to appear even sillier. How so?
One of the "messaging" responses from Republicans to changing the filibuster rule for presidential nominations on Thursday was.....
Orrin Hatch (R-UT)...."Today we face a real crisis in the confirmation process, a crisis concocted by the Democrat majority to distract attention from the ObamaCare disaster,..."
"It sounds to me like Harry Reid is trying to change the subject and if I were taking all the incoming fire that he's taking over Obamacare, I'd try to change the subject too," House Speaker John Boehner said.
After making note of the unmitigated disaster ObamaCare has become, he (McConnell) taunted "I'd be running for the exits, too, if I'd supported this law. I'd be looking to change the subject!"
Stopping Republicans in the Senate from blocking Obama's appointees from receiving a vote......when the GOP plan is to focus exclusively on bashing Obamacare....means that Obama and Democrats are "trying to change the subject" away from what Republicans want to focus on.
However, as usual.....Republicans just can't help themselves. Now, ANY positive news.....say, like the Iranian deal announced yesterday by John Kerry......must be characterized as an attempt by Obama to change the subject away from Republicans bashing Obamacare......
Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), in a tweet, suggested the deal is simply an attempt to distract from the botched implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
“Amazing what [White House] will do to distract attention from O-care,” Cornyn tweeted Saturday night.
Recent U.S.-Iranian negotiations have been history-making. Not since 1979 have any American officials sat down with Iranians to negotiate anything. In the GOP-loving Village, however, the historic John Kerry-led effort has been given backseat status.
Now that those multi-lateral and historic talks have reached a tentative agreement, a monumental breakthrough in fact......look for one trick pony Republicans to repeat ad naseum that Obama and Kerry were just trying to change the subject off of Obamacare. EVERYTHING that happens henceforth....according to Republicans....that demands media or national attention....is only an attempt to change the subject away from Obamacare.
When all you have is an old, worn out, unpopular and outdated hammer, all positive news for your opponent look like nails.
Republicans continue to embarrass themselves while openly insulting the intelligence of the American population. Desiring the presidency of Barack Obama to fail....has led Republicans to openly root for U.S. failure.
