You Could Be A Wingnut If....

By The Reverend Published: October 8, 2007

Yes, you could be a wingnut if say or believe stuff like this..... by the FOX teevee appearing and Weekly Standard writing....Fred Barnes.

Fasten your seat belts...

BARNES: ....You know, I've thought for a long time that Obama's not in quite as strong a position on the war in Iraq as he really thinks he is. Remember, when he famously came out against the war, it was back in a time when the entire world believed that Saddam Hussein in Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, that he would probably be willing to use them himself at some time or pass them along to terrorists who would use them. And yet, Barack Obama was against going to the war at that point. I don't think that shows that he is very strong on national security, which he needs to be. But that argument's not going to be used against him in the Democratic primaries. It would, however, by Republicans in a general election. Link

Wingnut logic, spoken proudly by a legitimate charter member wingnut like Fred Barnes, is quite remarkable, not to mention entertaining (admittedly in a sick way). Barnes believes Obama demonstrated weakness on national security, not strength, when he went against the neo-con driven herd mentality about invading Iraq.

Barak Obama was correct about Iraq. Fred Barnes and his neo-con cheerleaders were completely incorrect about Iraq....BUT....Barnes says Obama is not strong on national security because Obama didn't go along with all those who have since been proven wrong.

Proving once again that wingnut neo-conservatives are called wingnuts for a good reason. Using this stellar logic of Barnes, those leaders who get it right in issues of war and peace are weak on national security and, of course, those who get it wrong about issues of war and peace, like Bush and the neo-cons,.....are strong on national security.

And just bathe in the brilliance of, "...that argument's not going to be used against him in the Democratic primaries. It would, however, by Republicans in a general election."

Let me get this straight are saying that Republicans will be able to use the fact that Obama was correct about Iraq AGAINST him. Republicans will use the fact that they were wrong about Iraq and Obama was right.....and these Serious Republicans are going to use all that....AGAINST that it?

Hey...good freakin' luck with that.

You could be a wingnut agree with Fred Barnes' dsylexic stupidity.
