Vice-president Joe Biden's visit to Canton Monday will be part of a multi-stop swing through Ohio that will include his first joint appearance with President Barack Obama of this campaign.
Biden will stop in Canton and Lorain Monday and Toledo and Dayton Tuesday, where he will meet up with Obama that afternoon, said Jessica Kershaw, a spokeswoman for Obama's campaign in Ohio.
Biden is expected to focus on China currency and outsourcing Monday in advance of the third and final presidential debate that will focus on foreign policy, Kershaw said.
Biden will have a rally at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the J. Babe Stern Community Center in Canton, 2628 13th St. S.W., which is at the corner of 13th Street and Clarendon Avenue. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m.
Free tickets will be distributed beginning at noon today at the Obama campaign offices at 131 Cleveland Ave. in Canton; 24 Lincoln Way W. in Massillon; and 1160 E. State St. in Alliance.
This will be Biden's first appearance in the Akron-Canton area of this campaign. He visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton and an Akron union hall in 2008.
