Citizen jury to begin deliberations

By Stephanie Warsmith Published: July 26, 2012

A group of voters from the 16th Congressional District will come together this weekend to decide on the three key economic issues they think the Congressional candidates should focus on for the November election.

The jurors, a demographically representative group, will meet from Friday through Sunday at the Radisson Fairlawn/Hilton, issuing a report at the end announcing the issues they've chosen.

Anyone interested in following the process may watch it streamed live and look for updates on Jefferson Action's website.

The group's Twitter handles for the event will be @reclaimnovember and @rclmnovpolicy and @jeffersonaction.

Jurors will convene two more times before the election to judge how well U.S. Reps. Jim Renacci and Betty Sutton, who are vying for the 16th District seat, have responded to the issues the jurors identified.
