FreedomWorks to hold rally Thursday to unseat U.S. Rep. Dave Joyce

FreedomWorks, a national group affliliated with the tea party, will hold a rally to unseat U.S. Rep. Dave Joyce Thursday.

Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks' executive vice president, will attend the rally, along with a coalition of Northeast Ohio conservative groups and will make an announcement regarding the 14th Congressional District race, according to a news release.

State Rep. Matt Lynch is challenging Joyce, R-Russell Township, who represents the 14th district, in the May 6 Republican primary.

The rally will be at 11:30 a.m. at the Tanglewood Club House, 8745 Tanglewood Trail in Bainbridge Township.

The event will include the distribution of 1,000 yard signs and other campaign materials. Others planning to attend include Tom Zawistowski of the Portage County TEA Party, Dana Adams of the Summit County TEA Party, Ralph Spampanato of the Stark-Tusc 9/12 Group, and Dom Sciria of the Cuyahoga Valley Republicans.
