U.S. Rep. Marcia Fudge and Colin Goddard, a Virginia Tech shooting survivor, will discuss gun violence at a Summit County Progressive Democrats PAC event Friday evening.
The event will be at St. Joseph's Family Center, 610 W. Exchange St. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the program beginning at 7 p.m.
Fudge, chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, will discuss what is happening legislatively on gun control.
Goddard, who was shot three times in the Viginia Tech shooting and is now working for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Drug Violence, will share his story and will talk about the grass-roots effort on gun violence.
Admission is $50 a person or $90 a couple and may be paid at the sign-in table on the day of the event.
