Healy-Abrams kicks off Congressional campaign
Joyce Healy-Abrams, the Democratic candidate for the 7th Congressional District, will kick off her campaign and have an open house at her new headquarters from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Healy-Abrams' headquarters is at 2645 Cleveland Ave., Unit 3, in Canton, across from the post office.
The newly drawn 7th District includes large parts of Stark and Medina counties and forms a C-shape around Wayne County.
Healy-Abrams is challenging U.S. Rep. Bob Gibbs, R-Lakeville, in the November election. She is a small business owner who has never before run for office and lives in Canton. Gibbs currently represents the 18th Congressional District.
