Kasich wants state income tax reduced and still supports death penalty

By Stephanie Warsmith Published: February 14, 2014

Gov. John Kasich told the Plain Dealer he wants to further reduce Ohio's income tax and still supports the death penalty.

Kasich said he'd like to see the state's income tax rate dropped to 4 percent.

The governor said he supports the continuation of the death penalty, despite recent criticism and problems. He did say, though, that he thinks executions must be done right.
