Larry Cray named to Medina County elections board

Larry Cray, a Medina County GOP activist, has been tapped to fill a vacancy on the Medina County Board of Elections.

Cray, who is first vice chairman of the Medina County Republican Party's Executive Committee, was chosen today by Secretary of State Jon Husted, after being recommended by the county party's executive committee.

He is filling the unexpired term of Teresa Cotman, who left the board for personal reasons and had served since January 2010, according to Carol Lawler, director of the Medina elections board. The term runs through Feb. 29, 2016.

Cray has worked on various campaigns since his retirement in 2000, supervised the Medina presidential campaign center in 2012, and served as precinct chairman for Harrisville Township. according to the resume he provided to Husted's office.
