Local groups offering rides to Summit County elections board for final days of early voting

Two local groups will offer free rides to the Summit County Board of Elections from several Akron locations on the last days for early voting.

The Tri-County Regional Labor Council will offer rides from its office at 720 Wolf Ledges Parkway in Akron from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Monday. For more information, call 330-253-2111.

A local group of pastors will continue its "Souls to the Polls" program, offering rides Saturday, Sunday and Monday to the elections board at 470 Grant St. from numerous locations throughout Akron. For more information, call 1-866-OUR-VOTE (8683) or 1-330-299-VOTE.

In-person early voting will be offered at elections boards through 2 p.m. Monday, the day before the election. The hours for the final days are: 8 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday.
