Medina County elections board to celebrate its new home Friday

By Stephanie Warsmith Published: June 19, 2014

The Medina County Board of Elections may not have moved very far, but the board has twice the space in its new home.

The board will have a ribbon cutting at 3:45 p.m. Friday and open house from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday to celebrate its new office at 3800 Stonegate Drive, Suite C in Medina. The board was previously located at 4210 N. Jefferson St. in Medina.

The board was so cramped in its previous location that it had to borrow another county department's conference room to have enough space for in-person early voting.

Carol Gurney, the board's deputy director, said the new office won't have this space problem.
