Men of Akron council host dad talk

By Stephanie Warsmith Published: June 6, 2012

With Father's Day around the corner, the men of Akron City Council want to talk about the importance of dads.

The councilmen will host a screening of the movie "Courageous" at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the main auditorium of the Akron-Summit County Library, 60 S. High St. in downtown Akron. Afterward, they will host a discussion about the importance of men fulfilling their role as fathers.

Councilmen Jim Hurley and Russel Neal, Jr. decided to host the event after watching "Courageous," which is about four men facing the challenge of fatherhood. One of the four is from Northeast Ohio.

For more information, call Neal at 330-212-3034.
