He's served as chief of staff and president -- twice.
Which title he'll answer to at an Akron event Thursday isn't clear.
Actor Martin Sheen will stump for U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown at an event in Akron Thursday afternoon. The event will be at 3:45 p.m. at Tri-County Regional Labor Council, 720 Wolf Ledges Parkway, Suite 207 in Akron.
Brown, a Democrat, faces tough competition this year from Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel in a race that has already gotten nasty and is expected to see millions in spending from both sides.
Sheen may best be known as President Josiah Barlet in the television show West Wing. He also was Chief of Staff in the American President (Michael Douglas was the president). He also starred as John F. Kennedy in the miniseries Kennedy, according to the Internet Movie Database, www.IMDb.com.
Those who plan to attend the Brown/Sheen event are asked to RSVP by calling 614-427-3875 or sending an email to email@example.com.
