Renacci airing first ad
U.S. Rep. Jim Renacci's first broadcast television ad of the campaign will begin airing today in the 16th Congressional District.
The 30-second spot features Renacci standing in a closed auto dealership that he says closed after the President Barack Obama-led bailout of General Motors and the auto industry.
"Big government is running the economy," he says in the ad. "It's not working for Ohio. That's why I ran for Congress."
The ad is on Renacci's campaign website.
Renacci, R-Wadsworth, is facing off against U.S. Rep. Betty Sutton, D-Copley, in one of the hottest races in the country. The two were thrust into the same district by the redrawing of lines after the census.
