Romney to hold private fundraiser in Stark County

By Stephanie Warsmith Published: July 16, 2012

Mitt Romney, the presumed Republican GOP presidential nominee, will hold a private fundraiser in Stark County Wednesday evening, according to a campaign spokesperson.

Romney, who will have a town hall meeting in Bowling Green that evening, won't have any public events in the Akron-Canton area, the spokesperson said.

The Canton Repository reports the fundraiser will be at Brookside Country Club in Jackson Township, with tickets ranging from $2,500 to $25,000, which makes the donor a member of the host committee.

Romney's trip to Ohio will be two days after President Barack Obama's visit today to Cincinnati.
